Dear Parent / Guardian,
Make offerings to the monastic community rather than to just a small number of people;
Make offerings for the entire year rather than for only one meal;
Make offerings consistently rather than just for the present;
Make offerings for cultivation rather than just for merriment.

We will be attending Offering to Sangha ceremony at Nan Tien Temple.
YOUTH WILL BE PERFORMING hand gesture performance.
July & August is the month where the entire world make offering to Sangha. Here the reason being why Buddhism give offering.
Making offerings to the Three Jewels is a wonderful daily practice. Cultivating a generous attitude and delight in giving is a wonderful way to start the day.
The joy we feel when our heart is open and we want to share with others is a result of our practice of generosity. Due to the change in our minds that occurs when we offer, we create positive potential, which becomes the cause to have happiness in the future. Specifically, being generous now creates the cause to have the requisites for living—food, clothing, shelter, and medicine—as well as wealth in future lives.

*Nan Tien Temple will provide lunch for those who register, for parents and family member who come along, please register with your unit leader prior for lunch arrangement. Lunch provided is strictly for registered person. Apologies and Thank you for your understanding.

Clothing: FULL UNIFORM, SCOUT BEIGE COLOUR PANT, TUCKED IN SHIRT + BLIA Scarf. Enclosed shoe (no croc, thongs or sandals).
