Dear Parent / Guardian,

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".
 
ANZAC Day Commemoration is a significant event for scout. This year we are joining DAWN Service commemoration at Hurstville then Marching at Kogarah Club House.  Older youth are encouraged to join Dawn Service. 

Date: 25th April (Saturday)

Arrival: before 5.45am (According to Georges River Council Website)

Place: Hurstville War Memorial,

Address: 272, Forrest Road Hurstville

Finish: 6:45am

Wear: Full uniform with scarf, must tuck in shirt with enclose black shoe. 

Arrangement:

Arrive Cenotaph Hurstville at before 6am, laying flower + paying respect. Finishing by 6:45am will travel to Carlton for the Marching. 

Youth who decided to join only marching, Detail as below:-

Meeting Point: Bellevue Street & English Street Kogarah 

Time: 7am 

Finish: 9.30am  (Including breakfast at Kogarah Club)

In order to attend this excursion, students will need to have demonstrated by their behaviour prior to the date of the excursion that they know how to conduct themselves appropriately.
